Hello, I am travelling to Sal on a UK Passport in April 2019. How do I get my visa? Is it better to apply before I travel or get it at the airport? Thank you. Allisa

      Hello Allisa,

As of 1 January citizens from the European Union do not need a short stay visa for a short stay (30 days) anymore. If you are staying longer you can obtain the visa on arrival.

      Hello Tracey,

A tourist visa is valid for a maximum of 30 days, however you can prolong it during your stay on Boavista. You can do this at a police station or the Direcção de Emigração e Fronteiras.

      Hello Birgit,

The airport is small and ground handeling is not that complex. Do not expect really long really long queues, in average 20 minutes.

Thank you, but the concrete answer to whether Italian citizens need visas for Cape Verde Islands is not here.

As far as we know, they need and can buy them at the airport for EUR 25.
But here you are writing that in 2018 visa for citizens from EU countries is not required.
    What is the reality then?

    Thank you.

      Hello Martina,

A visa is still required for persons with a EU passport. As stated on the page about visa this will change during the course of 2018.

Also Italian citizens need a visa.

      Hope this helps,

    Dear Mrs. / Mr.
I would like please inquire as possible to arrange a visa for citizens of the Italian Republic, who will travel to Cape Verde.

    What is needed?
And how can visa be equipped?
    How much is the fee?

Do the visas have to be equipped in advance?
Or is it possible even after arriving at the Cape Verde airport (Sal Island)?

The trip is for tourism and its duration is 13 days.

Thanks in advance for your early reply.
