Hello there! Are you able with a question re passport renewal for a Cape Verdean Citizen residing in the UK? The embassy in Brussels (apparently responsible for the UK) is not answering their phone/email and the usual Hon Consul is currently not working. I’m grateful for any advice!

Hi there. We are a British couple on a boat in Palmeira, Sal. Currently observing the restrictions in effect due to the covid 119 crisis. My wife has to have some prescription drugs sent from the UK as her planned resupply flight is cancelled. Is there an address where we can safely courier her meds? Thanks.

      Hello Fayiah,

Locals speak some words of English, especially on the islands where most tourist stay. Otherwise speak with your hands and use some basic words of Portuguese :-). You will be fine! The following article – with some basic words of Portuguese, might be helpfull: Cape Verdean words
