According to the international review website TripAdvisor, Santa Monica beach on the island of Boavista is one the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sandy beach of Santa Monica is located in the southwest of the island of Boavista on Cape Verde. The beach is approximately 22 kilometers long and borders the protected nature reserve Morro de Areia. This nature reserve is very important for turtles and native birds.
