There are several several flights a week to the various international airports of the Cape Verde Islands. When you depart from West Europe the flight time to Cape Verde is generally about 6 hours on a direct flight. The distance to the northern Sal is generally shorter than to the southern island of Santiago.
On Cape Verde there are four international airports. At the island of Sal you have the Amilcar Cabral International Airport (SID) airport. At Boavista, the Aristides Pereira International Airport (BVC) airport. Santiago has the Nelson Mandela International Airport (RAI), also known as the Praia International Airport. Finally, at Sao Vicente is the international Cesária Évora Airport (VXE).
